JHope's Gear
At 00:36 and other parts of the video BTS is seen recording with the Telefuken 251. It is used to record most of their songs
In J-Hope's studio, you can see the Komplete Kontrol MKI. You can see the knobs, interface, and touchstrips (instead of mod and pitch wheels on the MKII) unique to the MKI.
at 6:29, you can see his Maschine Mikro MKII.
These are the mics that BTS use for their latest concert Love Yourself: Speak Yourself and for all the shows following after that. In this Picture J-Hope has a Silver (later crystallised red) SKM 6000/9000 with a Sennheiser e965 capsule (because of the shape of the capsule)
At 6:29, you can see JHope using IK iLoud Micro Monitors (along with fellow members SUGA and RM).
Between 0:25-0:26, you can see the back of a Telefunken U47 microphone. You can visibly see the serial number plate. It could also be a vintage Neumann U47, on which the Telefunken is based on.
You can clearly see his keyboard at 0:49.
In the first photo, you can see these headphones on top of his Komplete Kontrol MKI.
In the Vlive video titled "[BTS] ???? ???? ?? ??..????," a Native Instruments Maschine Studio box is visible on the lower left side of the screen during J-Hope's birthday episode, indicating his use of this MIDI controller.
Used for BTS' vocals on "Fake Love", as stated by producer James Reynolds in this August 2018 Sound on Sound interview.
‘All Vocals’ bus: Overloud Tapedesk, DMG Audio EQuilibrium & Kazrog KClip.
“This is pretty much my standard chain. I have the Tapedesk as my first plug-in. I love mixing into this, because I love the saturation that it gives to vocals. This is followed by the EQuilibrium, which notches out some high end. The Eiosis Air EQ Premium is next and does something slightly more interesting, because I am automating it with the green automation line. I use the automation to turn the Strength slider fully up for the pre-choruses and the choruses, which adds real excitement to all the vocals in these areas. Then there’s the Pro-DS de-esser set to a pretty high threshold, because I have already de-essed on the individual tracks. It’s just to catch anything else that I may have missed. Finally the KClip is just catching any remaining peaks.”
