I use the automation to turn the Strength slider fully up for the pre-choruses and the choruses, which adds real excitement to all the vocals in these areas. Then there’s the Pro-DS de-esser set to a pretty high threshold, because I have already de-essed on the individual tracks. It’s just to catch anything else that I may have missed.
