John McVie, bassist for Fleetwood Mac, has a longstanding history with Rick Turner's instruments, beginning in the early 1970s with a custom Series 1 bass. By 1997, McVie was using a Rick Turner Electroline Bass during Fleetwood Mac's tours, including their live album "The Dance."

John McVie has been a long-time user of Ampeg amplifiers, including the SVT-4PRO 1200-Watt model, which he used from the early '80s until 2019. Despite his endorsement with Orange, he continues to include a pair of SVT-4PROs in his touring rig, as noted on Talkbass.
