Godin Shifter Classic 4 Bass Review - Premier Guitar

premierguitar.com

The Godin Shifter Classic 4 Bass impresses with its blend of P, J, and Tele bass aesthetics. Its lightweight Laurentian basswood body and comfortable neck provide a familiar feel. Featuring versatile passive pickups with a 4-way switch, it offers rich tonal options, though the series mode can sound a bit muddy. Build quality is solid, though the neck heel could be smoother. A standout feature is the dual stringing method for tonal experimentation. While the neck pickup's sensitivity to thumb strikes is a minor setback, the Shifter Classic offers excellent playability and value at its price point.

I have a beautiful black on black Shifter Classic.

I've had this bass for a while now and it has a few problems but this thing is way to beautiful to not fix up and use one day. It has a PJ pickup style and a through body stinging option. The neck is alot like a jazz bass and its really light and smooth to play.
