Marco Pirroni's Gear
So.. what is your favourite guitar?
That I own, or generally?
That you like to play.
The Gibson Les Paul Junior in all its incarnations, of which there are many, and I think I own them all. But I think the standard one I've used the most, from Day One, is the Les Paul Junior Double Cutaway, the Johnny Thunders model. Not because of the Johnny Thunders, because I didn't know he had one.
In an interview with Guitar World, Marco Pirroni discusses his acquisition of the iconic Framus Super Yob guitar, highlighting its role in shaping the sound of Adam and the Ants' groundbreaking album, Kings of the Wild Frontier.
Marco Pirroni uses the Fender Twin Amp, as confirmed by his statement: "All I had was a Marshall and a Fender Twin," in an interview with Guitar World by Mark McStea.
Marco Pirroni can be seen using a Gibson Les Paul Standard in the music video for "Kings of the Wild Frontier" by Adam & The Ants, as uploaded by AdamAntVEVO on YouTube, under the copyright of Sony Music Entertainment UK Limited.
Marco Pirroni confirmed using an Arbiter SG as his first guitar, describing it as "a very cheap, brown Arbiter SG copy with a bolt-on neck and a tremolo arm that didn’t really work," as detailed in an interview with Guitar World by Mark McStea.
Marco Pirroni confirmed his use of the Gibson Les Paul Signature by stating, "The first good guitar I had was a Gibson Les Paul Signature, which I used with the Banshees at the 100 Club [in London] in 1976," as mentioned in a Guitar World article by Mark McStea.
Marco Pirroni confirmed using a Gibson Les Paul Custom Electric Guitar, stating, "I swapped that for a Les Paul Custom that got stolen," as reported by Mark McStea in Guitar World.
Marco Pirroni, the guitarist, uses the Gibson Firebird III, as confirmed in an interview with Guitar World where he mentions, "I bought a couple of old Firebirds, one of which I had painted red."
I bought that and a really good Gretsch 6120
