Matt Bellamy's rack includes a Skrydstrup AS44 Amp Head Switcher.
In this image, Matt is seen with his new custom Ali Top guitar from Manson.
Built by Hugh Manson in late 2006/early 2007, the Ali Top was based off of Matt's Delorean guitar, which also had an aluminium finish. However, the Ali Top features a locking tremolo bridge. This was the first custom guitar Matt got from Manson that had no built-in effects. This guitar was later replaced by the Copper Bomber and the Metal Bomber.
Matthew used a DBX FS900 while recording the album "Drones". The DBX can be seen in the right rack mount in this image.
Two Empirical Labs EL8 Distressors can be seen on top of one another in this image of Muse's rack units.
At 0:33 in this video, Matt Bellamy can be seen playing a specially made Manson Silver Glitter Holes electric guitar. Matt frequently uses guitars made by Manson, a small, very high quality, British guitar company that specialises in making custom guitars for specific artists.
Matt Bellamy can be seen with a Manson Red Carbon guitar in this photo. It's a replica of the original Manson Red Glitter 1 (also called "Santa") destroyed in 2010. Like the orignal and all the guitar order by Bellamy at that time (around 2010), it features a Fernandes Sustainer and a MIDI pad (in order to control a Digitch Whammy Pedal or a Kaoss Pad), but no Zvex Factory or MXR Phase 90.
We can see Matt playing this new guitar at 22:52. It's basically a Bomber with a mat/grey finish, that he uses for songs which need the use of a tremolo or a whammy bar, like Knights of Cydonia, Uno, and Hysteria essentially.
Matt can be seen using a Manson Alloy 7 string guitar while recording Supremacy, at 0:09 in this video.
Matthew Bellamy can be seen using his Manson M1D1 Mirror guitar at 0:14 in this video. This guitar was trashed at the Fuji Rock Festival, and the end of "Stockholm Syndrome," when Bellamy threw the guitar at a strobe light. Here is a picture of Hugh Manson showing the damage: http://www.musewiki.org/images/M1d1_death.jpg
This midi controller can be seen several times during the video of their performance in the Live Lounge on BBC Radio 1.
Matthew Bellamy used the Roland VG-8EX V-Guitar System during the Showbiz era, as detailed on MuseWiki's "Guitar effects & Amplifiers" page.
During Muse's September 2015 Live Lounge performance on BBC Radio 1, Matthew Bellamy uses the Sennheiser SKM D1 wireless microphone.
This Fernandes sustainer is fitted in the neck position of a few of Matt's guitars, such as the Mirror M1D1.
Some of Matt's manson guitars such as the Doubleneck use a sets of 2 of these pickups, wired in series to act like a large humbucker (as stated in page 16 of this article).
This Floyd Rose vibrato has been fitted onto some of Matt's more recent Manson guitars, such as the Copper Bombers : see page 18 of this article.
Matthew Bellamy, the lead singer for MUSE has acquired two Manson Stealth bombers to use throughout the "Drones Tour". Matt has been seen playing the songs hysteria,Knights of Cydonia, and uno, with this guitar.
Matthew Bellamy of MUSE uses the Manson Works Floyd Rose Fuzz Factory Xenokroma electric guitar, as seen in the Mansonguitarworks gallery. This guitar, notable for its integrated Fuzz Factory effect, is featured in performances of songs like "Knights of Cydonia," "Bliss," "Uno," and "Hysteria."
Matt uses this (the wireless version of the 105) when he doesn't have to play guitar all the time
Used to control the V Guitar system
Can be seen in Matt's absolution rack
Mix engineer Tommaso Colliva on recording Drones : "[Matt] tends to rely on the Neumann U67, which [he] owns, and the AEA R44, which sounds amazing and which is really good for more intimate things."
Mix engineer Tommaso Colliva on recording Drones : "For the final takes [we used a] Neumann FET47 and SM57 on the Diezel VH4 with Mills cab."
Neumann KK104/105 Condenser Mic Capsule for Sennheiser SKM5000 Series Transmitters
Wireless MicrophonesMatthew Bellamy uses the Neumann KK104/105 condenser mic capsule with Sennheiser SKM5000 series transmitters for wireless performances. This setup is featured in Muse's live performance at the Les Vieilles Charrues Festival in 2015, as seen on YouTube.
In this image, Matt can be seen with a Manson Keytar. This instrument is almost identical to the Manson Keytarcaster, however it has neon lights running along the edges.
This guitar appeared on the Muse Twitter Account on 9th August 2012. This guitar is aside from a few others Matt's only Manson custom guitar not to have any internal effects or controllers. The guitar had to match a specific weight requirement (around 2.4kg) so multiple holes were drilled into the body, neck, and hardware to reach the target weight. This was one of six other Manson guitars created by Hugh Manson for Bellamy in 2012. The Bridge pickup was changed to a P90 pickup (presumably Manson MBK-1) before the London Roundhouse gig. At the Birmingham gig it was fitted with a single coil Seymour Duncan pickup in place of the Fernandes Sustainer. This guitar was replaced by the Manson Matt Black Stealth. Although the debut of this guitar was during the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games, the guitar was not actually played. It is quite clear throughout the footage that all instrumentation was mimed, making this also one of the few times Muse have mimed sensibly.
Matthew Bellamy extensively used the Buchla 200e System 3 during the production of "Black Holes and Revelations." This synthesizer is visible in studio photos from that period and is captured in a live setting in the provided photo.
