Good glance at 0:39, only used live as far as I know
after minute 7, you can see a pair of amps used by Michael Gira, a Mesa boogie combo that resembles a Dual Rectifier or a Rectoverb, and on top of it, a Mesa Mark IV, identifiable by the knob placement, used in live performances recorded for the live album Swans are Dead
This guitar was used by Michael during live performances for The Great Anihillator, Soundtracks for the Blind live performances and Swans are Dead, used allongside his Lucille guitar and an unknown telecaster.
this is the only video of a Swans live performance that features this very unique guitar, closeups thoughout the video show a dark headstock, some kind of circular object behind the bridge, a very aged body, and a dark pickguard. Unknown if the guitar was borrowed or actually owned by Michael
In a Tape Op interview, Michael Gira explicitly identified the Akai S900 MIDI Digital Sampler as a tool he used, saying, “an Akai S900 is to me a really useful tool” and adding that he “made an entire record with one of those” and also used an S900 with Bill Rieflin “as a mic preamp on all the vocals on a solo album” recorded in Seattle. He also noted he had a "trunk full of tapes I dumped into the s900"
