"I had the Boss RC-20, but I just replaced it with the DigiTech JamMan XT Express, which is incredibly compact and super-affordable. It’s stereo, it’s true bypass, it has a very small footprint, and it’s all I need—on and off."

"We're going to go through this awesome Zvex Wah Probe, a wah pedal, but it's actually a sort of proximity sensor, so as you move closer to the pad, you get your wah sound. The reason I went for this kind of unit is not for the sort of theramin gimmick thing, it's actually because, if you think about a wah pedal, when you turn on a wah pedal, you click that button, it kicks into those ... to the high stuff, doesn't it? Kicks into a very noticable change... "

When it comes to electric guitar, Mike loves working with these Fractal Audio units. Incredible pieces of equipment containing hyper realistic models of hundreds and hundreds of amps and effects. If you have not heard of this stuff, check it out. It may well be that lugging heavy amplifiers to shows becomes a thing of the past. Genius.

It’s NEW PEDAL DAY! Beyond excited to start writing and recording with this thing. I’d heard about @hologram_electronics through @knobs_demos @mixedbyg1 @mishaperiphery and others and this #infinitejets unit is truly amazing. You guys know that I don’t go ‘full geek’ too often as there are few innovations that rock my weird little world ???? Calling it a ‘synth pedal’ cheapens the sculpting capabilities of the IJ. Think of it as something that will allow you to sound unique & do things that you can’t really do in the moment within a DAW like most guitar effects units. I’d totally recommend checking out the demos on YouTube. I’ll be taking this out for the @thisisnikmystery album sessions next week and you can bet your ass it’ll be all over my next solo record ????(which I’ll start writing in March)
