This little guy can save your gig
So picture this, youre playing through your tube amp when all of a sudden. Boom, your tube amp dies on you! But you read this review so you have one of these in your gig bag. Instead of having to go home, you pull this out, plug into it and then run it through the PA system. You finish the gig and get paid (so now you can afford to fix your tube amp). You also upvote my review because I just saved your butt.

Amp + cab sim
+Cheap; +Nice sound. -It would be nice to have cab sim on/off switch like in AMT Legend Amp Series; -When Level or High controls are cranked, some crackle/clipping is audible.

fender deluxe sound
This is a great AMP emulator. Gives an awesome Fender Amp style emulation, and with the drive nd controls, you can dial any tone. I use this for live gigs in tight stages, and i always get asked how am i getting such a full round tone connected direct to the PA. Extremely cheap and useful.

Give it a Shot
Not really a Fender modeler, though marketed as one. I love this late in the chain with my drives, and use it mainly as a light OD. With the drive low, this thing has a really good tone. I've also used this straight into a DI in a live setting, and had good results. It's a better drive than a modeler.
A lot for a little
Got it for $40 off of amazon. It was recommended by the same guy who recommended the Bugera V22 to me. I don't recommend turning the gain to 10 when using it. It gives great fender style tones and can go from blackface to tweed style using the voice knob. The 3-band EQ is also a great addition to shape the overdrive how you like. I use this for lower gain and sometimes just as a boost for solos or to cut through with a clean tone.

fender deluxe sound, almost, at a fraction of the price!
It's a great overdrive! soft rock, hard rock, country, pop rock - this pedal can give you sounds for a wide variety of genres with little fiddling. At very high gain though, there is a strong hiss. It doesn't matter though, because most amps do give that hiss out at high gains. this only shows the honesty of the joyo american's circuity.

what amps are you playing that hiss at 10? Mesas?
123
on both the crate 4x12 ... and the marshall 4x12. The crate hiss is not that strong though. The Marshall has that though, still less than the joyo american. When I play live, I do not take the cab along most of the times. I use the ADA GCS-3.

all the Marshalls I've owned (a lot, by the way) have a had a tiny mains hum, but otherwise are hiss free even at extreme gain settings other than the 'gain channel' of the JTM30 at high drive settings... even the JCM900 was pretty durned quiet for all the asswhompin' 80s grind it produces

$366.00 - $399.00
It basically does the same thing only it has a lot more options. if you are just looking for an amp in a box as a backup buy the joyo. If you want specific sound get the iridium, you'll just pay 10x as much
