On Paul Gilbert's official DiMarzio page it says under "Cables" that he uses this cable, by clicking on the link you get taken to a page where it comes in 12 different colours and has this paragraph of information: "Recognizing the need for a short "jumper" version of our famous guitar cables, DiMarzio® now offers professional grade cables in 6", 12", 18" and 36". We use the same U.S.-made nylon overbraid cable as in our standard guitar cables, delivering maximum signal transmission and minimum high-frequency loss. Right-angle Switchcraft ends are encapsulated in a super-tough thermoplastic resin that permanently bonds the plug to the cable, making our jumpers so rugged and durable that they carry a lifetime warranty. Our 6, 12 and 18-inch jumpers have right-angle ends. Our 36-inch jumper has one right-angle and one straight end. *Color choices Black/Gray, Vintage Tweed, and Neon are only available in 6- and 12-inch lengths."

“Emi got a new Korg SV-1 keyboard, and the vintage tones are just awesome in that thing. That sound works so well with the chords. I’ve learned so much about blues chords in the last few years, and it paid off when I wrote this part. Of course, her solo at the end is all hers, and it’s just ridiculous. Thomas did an amazing job of following her accents.

Used on tour with Mr. Big in 2011, as specified in this November 8, 2011 Premier Guitar Rig Rundown article.
Gilbert uses a Sennheiser wireless system that routes into the Boss TU-2 Tuner, Boss CS-3 Compressor (only for "Just Take My Heart"), Ibanez Airplane Flanger ("toggle between two crazies"), and MXR "script logo" Phase 90 (used subtly on almost every solo) into a Lehle P-Split, which splits the signal between the pedals/amp and an HBE CPR compressor into a DI into vocalist Eric Martin's monitors so he can hear a clean sound. After the splitter is a Majik Box Fuzz Universe, Way Huge Green Rhino (in a wild card spot that he switches out regularly), and a Fulltone Choralflange. For his acoustic rig, Gilbert uses a coily cable into a Boss TU-2 and another HBE CPR compressor.
Paul Gilbert posted at instagram that he uses Marshall JTM Bluesbreaker.

Paul Gilbert showcases his Ibanez S1XXV-FGR on Instagram, featuring it in "before" and "after" photos as it becomes part of his collection.
In this article with Guitar Player in 2021, Paul Gilbert talks about his at home rig and says:
I built a small pedalboard that I keep near my main computer desk. I use it to practice, write songs, do Zoom/Skype interviews, and record into Pro Tools. The selection of pedals changes sometimes, but my JHS PG-14 overdrive is usually front and center. The EarthQuaker Devices Dispatch Master is nice because I can get both reverb and delay without taking up a lot of space.
The MXR Phase 100 makes me feel like Johnny Winter. And the Catalinbread Callisto chorus is for vintage Rush-style riffs. I send this into a Marshall JTM1C running clean. I keep my favorite Ibanez Fireman guitars nearby and my iPhone for recording song ideas quickly.
In an Instagram post, Paul Gilbert showcases his early '90s Ibanez EX-1500, highlighting modifications with DiMarzio Fred and Super II pickups, and credits Eastside Guitar Repair for the wiring.
At 14:08, Paul says “Thank you .50 millimetre Tortex” about pick scratching.
