Description

Introducing the EarthQuaker Devices Dispatch Master V3, a powerful blend of delay and reverb that adds character and depth to your sound. This third iteration of the Dispatch Master offers a rich, sonic landscape that is easily navigated using a straightforward interface.

The digitally-controlled analog dry signal path provides warmth, while the digital effects engine delivers up to 1500ms of delay time and a natural-sounding reverb. The Dispatch Master V3 works harmoniously to create sounds ranging from subtle enhancement to immersive soundscapes. Adjust the mix control to blend the wet/dry signal and use the reverb control to add spaciousness and depth.

The pedal features a Flexi-switch, allowing you to choose between momentary operation or tapping to toggle on/off. Despite its complex tones, the interface remains simple with just four knobs. This makes it easy to craft the perfect tone intuitively. Housed in a compact, lightweight aluminum enclosure, this pedal is road-ready and built to last.

Key Features:

  • Produces up to 1.5 seconds of delay time with near-infinite repeats
  • Flexi-switch allows for either momentary or latching operation
  • Delivers everything from subtle ambience to shimmering reverb
  • Delay and reverb can be used together or separately for unlimited creative options
  • When using reverb with no delay, Repeats control thickens up your reverb
  • True bypass operation keeps your tone pure
  • Relay-based soft-touch switch is silent onstage and comfortable underfoot
  • Top I/O jacks provide a uniform look across the EQD pedal range

The perfect always-on ambience

The Earthquaker Devices Dispatch Master is both a reverb and a delay pedal. At first glance, it doesn’t look all that practical — there’s only one footswitch to activate the whole effect. You get three knobs for the delay section (Time, Mix, and Repeats) and one for the reverb. Interestingly, when the Time knob is set to zero, the Repeats control determines the reverb decay. That means you can use it as a delay pedal or as a reverb pedal, but there’s no way to switch between the two on the fly. Also, there’s no tap tempo for the delay. A dealbreaker? Not at all. That’s because the pedal is so well-voiced that no matter how you set it, it sits beautifully in your mix. It’s not meant to be an in-your-face effect, but rather a subtle ambience pedal that enhances everything you play. It’s the kind of “always-on” pedal you can just set once and leave on all the time. It sounds even better with a short slapback delay placed behind it — it adds punch and depth without clutter. I’d highly recommend the Dispatch Master no matter what style of music you play — from country to post-metal, it just works.

Preferred Settings + Usage:

Mix and Repeats at noon, reverb at 1:00, repeats at 10:00.
