Seasick Steve's Gear
Small size, hollow body guitar. Made in Japan in the '60s, sold under the name 'GHI', probably a Teisco offshoot.
Description of guitar is also found in The Guardian interview:
"The most unlikeliest cult star of the Noughties was born: an ex-itinerant pensioner who played the shit out of a three-stringed guitar miked up with gaffer tape.
'I was shocked, man,' he says now, laughing his big throaty laugh and tugging on that long beard. 'It wasn't a good performance. I couldn't see nobody, couldn't hear nobody. I just threw my old guitar down at the finish in frustration. Then, all hell broke loose."
Seasick Steve is known for using a variety of amplifiers, including the Roland Cube-30X Guitar Amplifier, as seen in a user-uploaded photo on Flickr. While he often performs with vintage Fender amps, such as a Twin and a Deluxe, he is also spotted using compact battery-powered amps like the Vox and Danelectro Honeytone during interviews.
Seasick Steve built this guitar with a hubcap given to him by jack white, as explained in the video.
It's not only what Seasick Steve is playing, it's also what he is playing on. No fancy luxery dream-guitar for Steve on stage, Seasick does his act mostly on a cheap or self-constructed guitar. One of these guitars he became famous with, is the "cigar box" guitar, a well beloved object for photographers. This guitar sounds amazing, and only has four strings.

As seen in the video of Summertime Boy and a lot of live performances. Steve pimped it with some paint and a Jack of Hearts playing card behind the strings between the pickup and the bridge.
Here, Steve can be seen playing a harmony bobkat throughout the video. This guitar was used throughout the recording of his latest album, and also make an appearance on several songs during his live shows.

Steve uses a Diddley Bow to play a song called Diddley Bow. It's not the exact same one as in the picture, but it's practically the same thing. A piece of wood with a string nailed on it.
In this video he uses the Kustom amp, a Fender Bassman and also a Vox AC30 amp.
In the YouTube video "Seasick Steve @ Pinkpop 2012 Full," Seasick Steve is seen using a Dunlop 222 Brass Guitar Slide, identifiable by its distinctive brass color.
In the Cardinal Sessions video "Gentle On My Mind," Seasick Steve is seen playing a Guild M-20 guitar. The guitar is further identified as being crafted by luthier Graham Parker, as shown in the accompanying Flickr photo stream.
