Critic Reviews

Cube-30X Review: More digital sounding and lacks the midrange warmth and magic of... | Roland | Guitar Amplifiers | Reviews @ Ultimate-Guitar.Com

ultimate-guitar.com

Roland's Cube-30X is a mixed bag, offering solid build quality and versatility with a wide range of features. However, it falls short in sound quality compared to its smaller siblings, the Microcube and Cube 20X. The amp models are not as vibrant, and the effects, including reverb and delay, are less impressive. While the clean channel is notably louder, the lead channel lacks depth. Despite these drawbacks, the Cube-30X is reliable and durable, ideal for practice settings. Yet, its "digital" sound and interference issues might deter those seeking a warmer tone. Overall, it's a dependable amp but lacks the "magic" of smaller Cube models.

Awesome Practice Amp.

Hard to beat as a practice amp if you want to keep the neighbors happy. A lot of flexibility and real easy to dial in, I especially like using it on my 7-string because it keeps the low end from getting muddy like my larger tube amp.
