Stevie Jackson's Gear
This photo clearly shows Stevie's main guitar, a Tele Custom with a humbucker modded in the bridge and a new bridge plate to match. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4de-RHHLCBA 8:17 in this video has a clear view of the headstock, showing it's not a Deluxe, but a custom.
Stevie Jackson of Belle and Sebastian included the 1965 Fender Super Reverb in his 2000 setup, as noted in a Guitar.com feature shared by Seth Raines on Pinterest.
In a video from 2019 titled "Belle & Sebastian | Live at The Boaty Weekender" by La Blogothèque, Stevie Jackson can be seen playing through a reissue Fender '65 Deluxe Reverb at various points, including at 2:05. The amplifier is positioned on stage next to another reissue blackface Fender and a reissue tweed Bassman, which are used by fellow guitarists Stuart Murdoch and Bobby Kildea. Although Stevie Jackson has transitioned to the smaller Deluxe in the past decade, he has consistently favored Fender amps, having previously used a reissue Super Reverb (as noted on Equipboard) and various vintage silverface models before that.
In the 2019 live video titled "Belle & Sebastian | Live at The Boaty Weekender" by Blogothèque, guitarist Stevie Jackson plays a yellow Burns Marquee electric guitar during the song "Step Into My Office, Baby" (0:00-5:42). This guitar is seen in various live performances as an alternative to Jackson's usual Japanese-made Fender Telecaster Custom, which is modified with a bridge humbucker. In this video, Stuart Murdoch, the lead singer, plays the band's other, unmodified Telecaster Custom.
In the YouTube video titled "Belle and Sebastian - The Life Pursuit, Live at the BBC (2006)" by Santy, at the timestamp 21:45, Stevie Jackson's Roland RE-201 Space Echo is visible on top of his silverface Fender Deluxe Reverb. This confirms he used the actual tape echo early in his career with Belle and Sebastian before transitioning to the Boss/Roland RE-20 Space Echo emulation pedal, which currently remains on his board.
At the 3:00 mark in the YouTube video titled "Belle & Sebastian - Boy With The Arab Strap (Glastonbury 2015)" by Brendan Oswald, Stevie Jackson's pedalboard is visible, showing his use of the Boss RE-20 Space Echo. Although Jackson originally used a Roland tape unit in the early 2000s, he later transitioned to the digital emulation provided by the Boss RE-20, which is more compact and reliable while still providing a similar sound.
In the YouTube video titled "Belle & Sebastian Black Sessions 1998 (VHS)" by vivianemorrison, at the 14:15 mark, Stevie Jackson's Fender 'Silverface' Twin Reverb (1972-1976) can be seen on stage during the band's performance.
