Stuart Adamson's Gear
Adamson used a Yamaha SG throughout his time in the Skids and in early Big Country. It became somewhat of a trademark for him in the late 70's and early 80's. This video was the promo for 'Into the Valley' in 1979.
Adamson towards the end of Big Country was using a yellow ESP Stratocaster for most of the band's se as can be seen in this video from the Barrowlands Ballroom in Glasgow 1993.
Adamson used custom mad Moon Telecasters in the mid to late 80's during Big Country's most commercially successful period. At the start of this video he can be seen using one with a telecaster with a tremolo system during 'Chance'. At 9:14 he can be seen with another Moon Telecaster with no tremolo system.
