According to this 2013 interview Merritt used a borrowed 60s F-20 which she put in DADDF#D tuning for the album "Traveling Alone".

In this 2013 interview with Acoustic Magazine Merritt stated that she's using a 1963 B-25 in the ¾-version to write her songs at home.

About her B-25 Merritt said: "I love old Gibsons from the 60s – they are great strumming guitars, warm and rich and just right for playing rhythm.
