Towa Tei's Gear
“When I debuted with Deee-Lite around 1990, I was using SONY components. Of course, the mixing was done in an outside studio, so it was only used when writing songs at home. After that, I also bought the Yamaha NS-10M just because everyone uses it, but I didn't like it because the sound was so stiff. Still, it's a studio standard, so I didn't like it, so I kept using it."
"And as GENELEC spread widely, I switched to GENELEC. At first I used a black 1030A, later I switched to a white 8040A. It was a good speaker for both making and listening to music, but I got tired of using it. So I bought the RL906 from MUSIK because it could be painted white.”

"After taking a sip of tea saying this, he finally taught me the charm of the Amphion. 'I like the design. It is beautiful to have three circular units with the same outer diameter placed side by side in a row. I can't work if the design of the equipment isn't good. (Laughs) I don't look at the speakers consciously, but it's true that the second most eye-catching part next to a computer monitor when working is the speaker, right? I’m sorry, but I think I see more than Kami-san who I work with (laughs). So design is very important.'"
