Geithain RL906

soundonsound.com

The Geithain RL906 monitors deliver an impressive performance in a compact package, offering exceptional neutrality and detail that competes with high-end rivals. Their unique coaxial driver design ensures precise stereo imaging, while the EQ controls provide flexibility for room adjustments. However, their genuine monitor quality comes at a premium price, making them a significant investment. Despite this, their powerful amplification and extended bass response make them a worthy contender for serious audio professionals seeking reference-grade monitors.

"And as GENELEC spread widely, I switched to GENELEC. At first I used a black 1030A, later I switched to a white 8040A. It was a good speaker for both making and listening to music, but I got tired of using it. So I bought the RL906 from MUSIK because it could be painted white.”

These are used in German Broadcast vans. So far I’ve had Genelec 1030s and Adam S2As but I prefer this small German speaker. I use them together with a subwoofer, but even without the sub it’s unbelievable how much low end these produce.
