Rory Clewlow

Rory uses an olympic white Fender American Professional Telecaster with a custom blue pickguard. The guitar is fitted with an EverTune bridge.

In the full concert video "Enter Shikari Live @ Sziget 2013," Rory Clewlow is seen playing the Fujigen Iliad JIL-Al-R J-Standard Series guitar, notable for its Evertune bridge.

I used to play Peavey 5150 so basically I've just been literally spending the last week fiddling about with tones and Ableton [music software] and trying to get it all synched up. I'm making the analog to digital leap. It's been a lot of work.

Rory Clewlow has been using a Gibson SG Standard in black since Enter Shikari's first album, as seen in a user-uploaded photo on deviantART.

On the new record I'm using two main guitars. One of them is a 1960s or 1970s Telecaster... [omitted] The other guitar I used a lot was by a very small guitar maker called Jaden Rose. He's a very big guy but he doesn't make many guitars [laughs] . That's the other guitar I used a lot of just for the jucier, fuller, heavy tones, essentially.

Rory can also be seen using this guitar during the Phenakistoscope Documentary that Enter Shikari uploaded to youtube, most clearly at these timestamps: 7:06, 9:08, 36:14.

He seems to either have replaced the pickups or have recieved/bought a custom made guitar from Jaden Rose as he has a single coil neck pickup which isn't available on the Jaden Rose website.

Well, basically I used to carry around two huge amps. One was the Peavey Classic 50, which wasn't huge but it was quite heavy and bulky. Then I had a two 5150s for backup and a cab and loads of effects pedals and everything. Now obviously, I've just got like one relatively tiny like 3U rack size box basically. It's mega-light.

You must have heard of the Kemper [profiling amplifier] if you work for Ultimate-Guitar. I'm completely switching my rig over to that.

What were those (recording)sessions like for you as a guitar player?

We were all quite young. I just had my Engl Powerball at the time and that's pretty much all I used. There wasn't much experimenting with guitar tones on "Take to the Skies." The studio we were recording at were very sort of militant about what they did. I remember for instance or singer Rou [Reynolds], the engineer or the producer was basically saying the whole time, "Oh, no. Only sing or scream. It's got be clear cut." All the drums had to be triggered and all the vocals had to have Auto-Tune even if they weren't out of tune and stuff.

At 2:57 in the video, you can see some of his pedals, it's not clear what they all are, but the TU-2 is clearly visible.

At 2:57 the pedalboard of Rory can be seen and the Whammy pedal can be seen pretty clear.
