Extended Range Guitar Effects Pedals
any guitar pedal will work... its not a low frequenct like a bass
9yabout 9 years ago
would you say the 70's silverface bassman heads are good for playing with pick's ive seen a few used for 500 ish and may get one when i get a new bass
9yabout 9 years ago
has anyone played the basses Orange is putting out, i kinda want to try one its got a les paul shape with a p bass pick up and ive been looking at getting a p bass this winter once i have the funds to
9yabout 9 years ago
i love the 64 avri its my favorite fender in production the pick ups have a good contrast and the 7.25 board still feels chunky enough that im not slipping on my hi e string
9yabout 9 years ago
so id imagine the 60's would be close to the 64/62 avri tele's, i know the 60's tele is pretty similar to the 64 avri minus the wiring and steel instead of brass saddle
9yabout 9 years ago
im just not sure ive never liked tele's with tons of frills beyond a bigsby, like the most modded tele i like is the cabronita and that has a pick up selector and volume knob with two fidelitrons, other than that i like my tele's simple
9yabout 9 years ago
i cant afford an american elite but if i did im getting itin mystic black no exceptions
9yabout 9 years ago
ive been looking into them a bit more seriously and if i get a baja i want to get the 60's in burst and bigsby it
9yabout 9 years ago
So i was looking at alternatives to the Classic Series 60's tele if i cant find one and im between the 60's Baja and Am Special, i know how the Am Special is a budget beast but has had issues with a thin/weak finish.
as for the baja ive seen people say the s1 switch kinda saps tone from the pick ups, and i was wondering if any one has rewired it without the s1 switch. i like how the baja has a modern shape neck but still has vintage style pick ups and hardware. im just not a fan of the s1 switch, not something id hav use for
after tele i think im gonna go gibson but we'll see

both epis are geared for jazz and blues, the d'angelico would just depend on the model and yamaha's are all rounders
9yabout 9 years ago
i would look at epiphones liek the wildkat for the low end of youre range, especially the koa one nice dark brown and gold, there swingsters are also good and around 700 ish
another one is d'angelico they run 700+ but they have some crazy good jazz guitars especially if you are willing to splurge and spend a little more tan youre budget
thirdly look for used yamaha semi hollows theyre are some gems on reverb for 700 ish

his is black guard barebones lp special dc which is what id be looking for
9yabout 9 years ago
i feel like if i had a week-month with one id figure out how to use the feedback effectively
9yabout 9 years ago
and i was referring to the casino, for 335's and other centerblocks ive never had an issue
9yabout 9 years ago
not an original they are too expensive compared to the guitar youre getting, id rather go for a chicago music exchange exclusive, they do reissues and custom colors a lot like the mocha jazzmaster or fiesta red teles
9yabout 9 years ago
i would go casino but at high gain the feedbakc would be tricky, but im not against a 335, i want a 70's in walnut but, i love semi hollows and a guild stafire may be coming up soon played one in chicago not a 335 for sure but the mini humbucker sound incredible
9yabout 9 years ago
i want one they guy from silversun pick ups and adam granducial has one but i cant find them in my price range
9yabout 9 years ago
yea his is an 03 or 04 if i remember correcly which was a sticky transition era i want a single cut in weither brown or faded cherry tho if i cant get a cherry dc, im not fan of the crappy burst they used
9yabout 9 years ago
yea it looks like fullsize, but id pick up swap it for the sake of swapping out cheap pick ups and more reliabe wiring
9yabout 9 years ago
i think the epi studio has full size routes otherwise id get mini's for it
9yabout 9 years ago
when i look at color its more or so for me, my prefernece on any guitar is white or walnut/mocha finish although ive seen some mij mustangs in yellow and onstage it looks awesome the first one i saw was at a Wombats concert and it just stands out really well
9yabout 9 years ago
and ive looked at the epi firebird studios also but if i got one id probably drop filtertrons or somethig similar in it
9yabout 9 years ago
i used to not like the metal colors but ive been liking shoreline gold more and more, when i get a tele i may wait for a tele cabronita thinline in it unless i see the solid body version in surf green
9yabout 9 years ago
i like silver burst lp's but not my stayle i really like the silver and gold finishes fender have tho, especially on tele cabronitas

The Big Muff: Original, Mini, or Nano
honestly any amp can be shoegazed with look at terry with his cranked marshalls, but for me i love the cleans from vox, fender and hiwatt i want to try a tone king tho but they cost as much as a used car
9yabout 9 years ago
yea my concern was neck diving when i let go, the sg when i was a little kid was my dream guitar as i got older i started getting into guitar i started to lean more towards fender but i still was a gibson now that im a full sized little kid and think i have the money to get a used special, my friend has a double cut lp special he found for less than 500 and loves it and it was tv yellow which was icing on the cake
edit: one of the online reviews i saw said gibson said it was an affordable sg that was made to be swapped for p90's if wanted i think new they 900 but used are 6-700
9yabout 9 years ago
i also was looking at the newer classic t i think which has the mini buckers, im not entirely thats the name tho, i like p90s but i know about the hissing with them and as for bridge no matter what if i got an sg id pull a Tim McIlrath and have an evertune put in it but thats a lot of money for a later time since that involves a lot of wood being removed

The Big Muff: Original, Mini, or Nano
i got to play a fano through a custom 50 at chicago music exchange, cause you know the 1975 and all that hipster stuff im into but that thing was loud as fuck i couldnt actually use the volume knob for fear of losing my hearing but that amp a shoegazers dream it has such a crisp clean
9yabout 9 years ago
ive been starting to get into more alternative, punk, and melodic hardcore, so ive been looking at these two extensively, what are your guyses thoughts on these, the jazzmaster is also an option but i really want a stop tail gibson with p90's
