Founded by Wynton R. Morro in 1985 and based in San Clemente, California, Avalon Design is a manufacturer of high-end analog recording equipment built around pure Class A circuitry. The company's flagship product, the VT-737 SP, is widely regarded as the best-selling standalone channel strip ever made, combining a vacuum tube preamplifier, opto-compressor, and sweep equalizer in a single 2U rackmount unit.
