I bought this when I went to the guitar shop[ to browse guitars, the grain of the guitar I ultimately purchased was beautiful to look at which drew me to it. this was the first electro acoustic guitar I purchased, upgrading from a Squier SA105. the tone sounded great, plugged in and out with EQ switches to adjust tone when plugged in. it also seemed to improve my playing and technique and in particular, my songwriting. I would definitely recommend one of these to anybody who has saved money for an acoustic guitar, but didnt want to break the bank in the process
This was the first real guitar I bought and I can safely say I made the right decision. the tone of the pickups sounds great to my ears in all of the positions and the inclusion of the out of phase switch is a great addition too. the inclusion of the coil splitting feature is something that improves the value of the instrument as a whole, of course it wont be the same as an actual single coil guitar, but it does come close. Playability is something to mention too, it is smooth in all areas of the neck and helped me to almost instantly improve as a player I would definitely recommend this to guitar to someone who is considering buying it and doesnt want to shell out lots of money for a Gibson
This guitar was given to me when I started learning to play, at that point it was 20 years old and still in great shape. I only had it for a year before upgrading and never really valued it as I do now but due to this I can safely say that it is pretty much indestructible with any type of damage you could imagine being done to it. obviously with the damage it suffered due to my neglect, it opened up the opportunity for me to learn how to repair guitar parts including a bridge replacement I did which included learning how to adjust action ECT. I believe this is a benefit of owning one of these or another inexpensive guitar. I hope to use it for modding later on and intend to use it as a gateway to changing electronics such as pickups in terms of musicality, I felt the pickups were a bit too bright, especially the bridge pickup

In my opinion, this amp was great for me starting to play electric guitar, but once I began getting good I qucikly realised I needed an upgrade. I mainly only ever used the Clean channel as I felt this was the best for tones, but sometimes used the Crunch channel before I had a pedalboard which I felt was okay to practice with. I feel with a pedalboard, the clean channel is actually decent and you can get some good sounds. The Metal and Insane channels are ones I rarely touched, I agree with most reviews here, the tones aren't great from these channels and they just feel like the gain covers that up. The final point I want to make is the EQ, In my personal opinion these were also not great. I constantly had mine set to high treble and low bass, any other varation of EQ always sounded too muddy for me and I wasnt even keen on this too

The Shimverb was the first reverb pedal I bought while constructing a pedalboard. I felt in terms of just 'normal' reverb, the Room reverb did the job well for mostly anything I did, always staying on whatever I was doing. I felt the shimmer did not really live up to the expectations of a pedal named Shimverb, sure it was a shimmer effect but I feel compared other shimmers out there you can get better, but I suppose for the price you cant really argue. I do think this pedal is great for those who are just getting into effects, especially reverb as there are only 3 types which doesnt overcomplicate things despite how I feel with my personal experience with the shimmer, I do think the pedal is good.
