Founded in 2014 in Winnipeg, Manitoba by electrical engineer Dan Trudeau and musician/entrepreneur Derek Eastveld, Revv Amplification designs and builds boutique tube amplifiers, pedals, and speaker cabinets. The company's flagship Generator series — headlined by the Generator 120 — features four color-coded channels (Blue clean, Green crunch, Purple tight gain, and Red fat gain) and has become a staple among modern rock and metal players seeking high-gain clarity. The Dynamis series, developed with Nashville session guitarists, offers a more vintage-voiced, mid-gain platform anchored by the D40.
Revv's pedal lineup translates the amp channels into stompbox form through the G-series. The G2 captures the Green channel's touch-sensitive crunch, the G3 delivers the Purple channel's tight high gain, and the G4 reproduces the Red channel's thick, saturated distortion. The lineup also includes the G8 noise gate and the G25, a compact portable tube amplifier head. All products are designed and manufactured in-house by a small team in Winnipeg.
Revv gear is used by a wide range of professional artists spanning genres from metal to country, including Taylor Momsen of The Pretty Reckless, Ben Bruce of Asking Alexandria, Zach Myers of Shinedown, Todd Kerns of Slash's band, Kiki Wong of The Smashing Pumpkins, Kevin Skaff of A Day to Remember, and Jeff Stinco of Simple Plan, among many others.
Revv has 46 products cataloged on Equipboard, including Guitar Amplifier Heads, Distortion Effects Pedals, and Guitar Amplifier Cabinets. Their gear is featured by 56 artists, with the strongest followings in Rock, Metal, and Pop. Notable users include Ola Englund, Trey Xavier, and Rabea Massaad. Most Revv products sit firmly in the high-end, boutique range.
