Victory is a British guitar amplifier company founded in 2013 by Martin Kidd, a veteran amp designer previously known for his work at Cornford Amplification. Based in England, Victory designs and builds valve (tube) amplifiers that span a wide range of playing styles, from sparkling cleans to crushing high-gain tones. The company combines traditional hand-wired construction with modern PCB design and custom-wound transformers.
Victory's amplifier lineup is organized into distinct tonal families. The Duchess delivers American-style cleans and edge-of-breakup tones, the Sheriff covers classic British overdrive and hot-rodded '80s sounds, the Copper channels AC-style jangle and classic rock, and the Kraken — co-developed with guitarist Rabea Massaad — handles high-gain territory from heavy rock to metal. The Jack, originally developed with Guthrie Govan, is the company's most tonally versatile design. Beyond full-size heads and combos, Victory produces the V4 range of all-valve preamps in compact pedal format, as well as stompbox pedals developed in collaboration with Thorpy FX.
Victory has built a roster of notable endorsers including Guthrie Govan (The Aristocrats), Richie Kotzen (The Winery Dogs), Graham Coxon (Blur), Bill Kelliher and Brent Hinds (Mastodon), Chris Buck, and Isaiah Sharkey. Several of these artists have signature or co-designed models in the Victory lineup, including the RK50 for Kotzen and the Kraken for Massaad.
Victory has 104 products cataloged on Equipboard, including Guitar Amplifier Heads, Guitar Amplifier Cabinets, and Combo Guitar Amplifiers. Their gear is featured by 53 artists, with the strongest followings in Rock, Pop, and Metal. Notable users include Graham Coxon, Chris Buck, and Guthrie Govan. Most Victory products sit firmly in the high-end, boutique range.
