Revv D20 Review - Premier Guitar

premierguitar.com

The Revv D20 brings a unique blend of versatility and compactness, boasting built-in cabinet emulations and a 20-watt output that excels in both studio and live settings. Its design is intuitive, and it handles pedals beautifully, especially with high-gain tones. However, while it excels in many areas, the amp's clean tones can feel somewhat shallow, lacking depth compared to traditional setups. Additionally, the cabinet emulation feature, although innovative, is limited without external control. Overall, the D20 is an impressive option for musicians seeking portability and modern features, but those desiring rich, clean sounds may need to look elsewhere.

Versatile and feature-rich!

This amp gives me the best combination of options for Headphone, PA, and Cab playback! Has a speaker out for your cab, but also has DI and a headphone out that run through TwoNotes cab emulation and IR loader for the best possible sound straight from the amp head.

Revv’d Up Although Tubbs has a lot of amps and cabinets in his studio, for this Rig Rundown he played through two amps run in stereo. On the left side there’s a Revv D20 (switchable between 20 and 4 watts) with a 6V6 Power Section. Tubbs ran an XLR out via the amp’s embedded Two Notes reactive load box with virtual cab options.
