Description
The Revv G20 is not just another amplifier head; it's a compact powerhouse designed for musicians who crave versatility and high-quality sound without the need for a traditional speaker cabinet. This 20W tube amp head, an evolution from the popular D20, integrates Two Notes Torpedo technology, offering a seamless experience for live performance, recording, or practice. With its all-tube design featuring three 12AX7 preamp and two 6V6 power-amp tubes, the G20 delivers rich and authentic tones that range from crystal-clear cleans to searing high-gain distortion.
The Revv G20's standout feature is its ability to operate without a speaker cab, thanks to its built-in reactive load and virtual cabinets. You can choose from six customizable cab simulations directly from the amp or expand your palette to 128 options via MIDI. This feature makes it perfect for direct connection to a mixer, audio interface, or even headphones for silent practice. The amp's two channels, including the revered Purple high-gain channel, are complemented by a 3-band EQ, gain and volume controls, and three Aggression levels, allowing you to shape your sound precisely.
The G20's player-friendly attributes don’t stop there. It includes a buffered series FX loop for easy integration with pedals, a power-reduction circuit for achieving cranked tones at lower volumes, and a switchable 4/8-ohm speaker output for compatibility with various cabinets. Whether you're in the studio or on stage, the Revv G20 is equipped to deliver an unparalleled amplification experience.

Great Lunchbox with great tone
When I first turned on this amp and tried it out, I ran my G&L S-500 through it and there wasn't a bad sound in earshot.... yes it doesn't have reverb and there is no control for the dirty channel (reason for 4 stars)... I look at it this way... the clean channels takes pedal really well.... like really well... the dirty channel is basically the Revv G3 pedal built in... the sound is very clear and no muddiness at all... it has an fx loop so I run my Slotva thru there as reverb and the amp just sings... the installed two notes is a nice touch when I can just use the amp and run it direct or with headphones..
So overall it's my go to amp for anything I play..

Great Pedal Platform
The versatility is amazing, just wish the built in reverb wasn't tied to the DI out, as it would be nice to have on the speaker outs.
