Description

Unleash your inner rock god with the Soldano Avenger 100-Watt Single Channel Head, a powerhouse designed for the true tone aficionados. Crafted to emulate the legendary overdrive of the classic SLO 100, this amp head promises to elevate your sound to new heights. Whether you're performing in a packed arena or jamming in the studio, the Avenger offers unparalleled versatility with its dynamic range and tonal precision.

Harness the raw power of 100 watts as you explore the dual input options: the high input jack that grants you full gain access for those searing solos and the low input jack that bypasses the first gain stage for a cleaner, more articulate sound. The Avenger is equipped with three EQ knobs, allowing you to sculpt your sound with precision, while the presence and depth controls provide additional texture and dimension.

For the ultimate in connectivity, the Avenger features a rotary impedance selector switch, accommodating 4, 8, or 16 ohm cabs, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of setups. Built for rock, but versatile enough to handle any genre, the Soldano Avenger is the amp head that lets your music roar.

Key Features:

  • 100-watt power output
  • High and low input jacks for versatile gain options
  • Three EQ knobs for detailed tone shaping
  • Presence and depth controls for added sound dimension
  • Rotary impedance selector for 4, 8, or 16 ohm cabs compatibility
  • Designed to emulate the classic SLO 100 overdrive

From a Reverb online article:

"Prince had requested an amp with a lot of clean headroom that could be used as a pedal platform. Soldano built eight of these amps for him. 4 were built for Prince, and 4 were built for his guitarist, Donna Grantis.

This amp sounds nothing at all like a typical Avenger. It has a very clean tone, with no distortion whatsoever. The clean sound is closer to the Lucky 13 than to any other Soldano amp I've owned. It's a great sounding amp, and as designed, it excels when being used as a pedal platform.

These amps can be seen on stage during Prince's performances from 2014 on, including his most recent performance from Saturday Night Live."
