Al Jourgensen uses Sequential Circuits Pro One Synthesizer Al Jourgensen uses Sequential Circuits Pro One Synthesizer

Charlie Clouser confirmed on the Gearspace forum that Al Jourgensen and Ministry used the Sequential Circuits Pro One Synthesizer during the band's early years. Clouser noted, "Most of the time Al knew exactly what synth was used on which part, so even though the PRO-1 was long gone, JB could use Repro-1 to get really close, etc. Plus we did have a lot of paper documentation like track sheets etc."

Al Jourgensen confirmed his use of the ARP Omni Polyphonic Analog Synthesizer in an interview with the Entertainer, as detailed by Klintron on klintron.com. Jourgensen shared that after returning to Chicago following his time with Special Affect, he purchased the synthesizer because he was unable to play loud guitar in his apartment. Subsequently, he acquired a reel-to-reel tape recorder and began creating his own solo tracks.

It's a big muff for bass

Nothing more can really be said. Personally i use it with relatively low sustain for distortion and fuzz. Wether or not a bass player needs a big muff is up for discussion, but as i play in a trio band the answer is definitively yes. It sounds like a big muff and it functions like a big muff. And the big muff works and sounds great.

Great build

A guitar made this well in this price range deserves a lot of praise. A chunkier neck suits me well because I have bigger hands, although the shorter scale can be a bit tricky for larger fingers, so it takes some getting used to. The pickups and bridge could be upgraded, but I haven’t changed anything yet. Still, a bit of modding would noticeably improve the overall quality of the guitar. The tuners are very good, and the guitar stays in tune for a long time. I don’t have much experience with lower tunings, since mine is set up in E standard. I use a drop pedal when I want to play in lower tunings.
