Ryan Neff uses ENKI AMG-2 Ryan Neff uses ENKI AMG-2

Ryan Neff is confirmed to use the ENKI AMG-2, as announced in a post by enki.usa on Instagram. In the post, Neff explains that due to his smaller stature, he needed a case that is light and easy to move. He appreciates the ENKI AMG-2's capacity, noting it can hold two basses and is spacious enough that it can "practically fit a man."

Great build

A guitar made this well in this price range deserves a lot of praise. A chunkier neck suits me well because I have bigger hands, although the shorter scale can be a bit tricky for larger fingers, so it takes some getting used to. The pickups and bridge could be upgraded, but I haven’t changed anything yet. Still, a bit of modding would noticeably improve the overall quality of the guitar. The tuners are very good, and the guitar stays in tune for a long time. I don’t have much experience with lower tunings, since mine is set up in E standard. I use a drop pedal when I want to play in lower tunings.

Solid in places you didnt expect.

When I started building my rig this was all I could get my hands on. My expectations were all over the place as I only owned a single pedal before it. For being so small it sure is a LOT of functions. The first pedal is only ever really used for the monophonic octave. and monophonic needs to be said with a lot of emphasis because this thing does NOT like chords. The volume goes a little berserk when the tracking fails but still it's a solid octave for the function that it is advertised as. The second pedal is weird. It has all these drive functions but they are all so digital and the ones that are supposed to be digital (synth 1 and 2) aren't customizable enough to be fully utilized. The effects that are used on the second pedal personally are the compressor and the distortion. But where this thing really shines is in the third pedal. The reverb when cranked to a high level makes your tone sound like god himself is singing it down onto you, the chorus sounds absolutely insanely good for bass and the delay is very fun to play around with. The same goes for the final pedal with its volume and wah. I had to adjust the pedal because it required immense pressure to switch between modes but the process was easy and now it works just fine. So today it's my reverb and chorus machine + a tuner and volume switch. And for the price tag it does all of these functions damn well.

A smart little box of functionality

It does what it says it does, it powers your pedals and costs pocket change. I use this for my current rig and I've never had issues with this (which says a lot for a Harley Benton product) and you can ask nothing less of it. Its solid construction makes me trust it. As a bass player 5 outputs of 9v is the sweet spot for any rig i may have in the future.

Greg Edwards uses Dunlop TS-1 Tremolo Stereo Pan Greg Edwards uses Dunlop TS-1 Tremolo Stereo Pan

Taken from an excerpt of a '97 issue of Bass Player Magazine. Lists the complete equipment of gear/pedals that Greg Edwards was using during the Fantastic Planet tour. One of the pedals mentioned is the Dunlop TS-1, ASFAK this pedal was only used on Segue 1 in conjunction with the EHX Big Muff for that giant stuttering bass sound, the only other song this pedal was used was on Saturday Savior, specifically during the solo section. Best heard of the June 1st and 9th performances of the song in 1997.

Greg Edwards uses Visual Sound Visual Volume Pedal Greg Edwards uses Visual Sound Visual Volume Pedal

Used from (assuming) 1995 until 1997. Considering Greg Edwards had a Lexicon Vortex in his 90s Failure bass rig, one can only assume he was using the volume pedal as an expression pedal to morph between A/B on his vortex for some insane sounds heard during this tour. Most notably the segue to Stuck on You during these periods where you can hear some sort of "pitch-modulated-oscillation" similar to a DJ scratch. Also sometimes seen being used during the solo section of Saturday Savior and as-well as during the intros of some Sergeant Politeness performances from 1997.
