That DS-1 anniversary edition actually looks really great. I did the Keeley mod to my silver-label maybe a decade ago, but that pedal definitely gets the job done when you dial it in right. Certain amps take it really well.
Never tried the old/new orange ds-1 but this one surely drives my SC20C JCM800 really good. of course i havent had an overdrive/dist/muff that this amp doesnt take well (and i have a lot as you see, big fan of dirt), guess its an great piece of amp engineering from the masters in Marshall!
