The easy way to get your effects AND save room for drives.
This pedal allows you to gain access to all of TC's toneprint-enabled effects pedals without having a massive pedalboard. The ability to deep-dive into these effects through the editor, and through the use of an external expression pedal makes this the most detailed setup for these effects possible. If deep editing isn't your flavor the ability to load an effect, tweak the settings, and play it is also an option.
Through updates more effects have been added, and the features keep expanding. What this pedal does not do (currently, anyways) is drives. There is an effects loop to add them into the signal, or it can be used with 4-cable method to add effects before and after your drives/preamps. Routing is all digitally controlled - meaning you can have 127 different pedalboard layouts with separate routing options for each, depending on your needs. TC's effects were already amazing, now they're more compact, more versatile, and a lot more intuitive.

Absolutely killer drive tone!
Yes, it has the sound. It is very true to the sound of the Kraken amp. The 3-band EQ is nice for fitting it to specific guitars or amps. The changes in EQ are not drastic, but very subtle and do not go into any unusable territory. The drive knob seems to cascade in layers of drive as you increase it. It doesn't just get hairier like other distortions. The only thing that would have been a great addition to this pedal would be 2 switchable gain settings. There's so many usable tones in this thing that it would be nice to be able to pick 2 for a live setting.
