Beautiful amp - mostly
I bought the amp to replace my dying Boss Katana 100 MK3. I was really impressed by the sheer power of the post-amp, and the pristine clean tones you get on the clean channel. Almost like a low-budget JC-120 at times. It's a beautiful pedal platform and sounds really well - until you try using the second channel, the "dirty" channel. It sounds thin, reedy and grainy, and generates a lot of feedback. It took me quite a while to dial in a usable tone. I must say, I really prefer the tone of a "cleaner", warmer overdrive. But it might be exactly what you're looking for, if you're looking for a heavy, fuzzy, saw-like sound.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
If you want to use the amp as a pedal platform, I urge you to stay on the clean channel and boost it with an EHX Soul Food or something Klon-like.
