Description
Introducing the Orange Super Crush 100 - a 100-watt solid-state head that redefines the concept of solid-state amplification. This powerful amp head boasts a single-ended 2-channel JFET preamp and a 100W class-A/B power amp, lending it a sound that rivals Orange's flagship Rockerverb amps in richness and dynamism. This amp head will leave you questioning if there are tubes inside with its broad sound spectrum, from glimmering cleans to heavy distortion.
Notably, the Super Crush 100 takes the solid-state tube tone to a whole new level. It utilizes high-quality analogue circuitry and a redesigned preamp to deliver the instantaneous response, clear definition, and distinctive character that Orange is renowned for. The Dirty channel offers four stages of gain for everything from a hint of grit to full-on overdrive. In contrast, the Clean channel provides sparkling cleans with ample headroom, allowing the amp to resonate with harmonic richness and authority that seems almost impossible for a solid-state design.
Furthermore, the Super Crush 100 comes with Orange's CabSim technology, an analogue speaker emulator that recreates the sonic experience of playing through a 2x12 cabinet. The amp also features built-in reverb with controls for reverb level and tone, and a fully buffered effects loop for integrating your favourite stompboxes and rack effects. All these features make the Super Crush 100 a versatile choice for both stage and studio use.

Beautiful amp - mostly
I bought the amp to replace my dying Boss Katana 100 MK3. I was really impressed by the sheer power of the post-amp, and the pristine clean tones you get on the clean channel. Almost like a low-budget JC-120 at times. It's a beautiful pedal platform and sounds really well - until you try using the second channel, the "dirty" channel. It sounds thin, reedy and grainy, and generates a lot of feedback. It took me quite a while to dial in a usable tone. I must say, I really prefer the tone of a "cleaner", warmer overdrive. But it might be exactly what you're looking for, if you're looking for a heavy, fuzzy, saw-like sound.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
If you want to use the amp as a pedal platform, I urge you to stay on the clean channel and boost it with an EHX Soul Food or something Klon-like.
