I think we kind of evolved our rigs at the same time as I was joining Baroness. He was like, “I wanna start playing smaller amps and just started testing stuff and A/B-ing gear”. We came up with: “What if you, John, started playing Silverface Princeton and a Blackface Deluxe and I’ll play Blackface Princeton and Silverface Deluxe?”

Baroness runs a stereo amp rigs live. For her amps, Gena runs a two fender combos. She runs a Princeton reverb in combination with a deluxe reverb

And pedal-wise, I pretty much just run a pretty basic pedal chain, an Xotic SP Compressor into a Wampler Tumnus, which is like a Klon mock. And then I have an MXR Super Badass Distortion, I used that on the whole record and I use it live. Then we both use a bunch of Philly Fuzz pedals that John and our friend Steve in Philly make.

Gina Gleason of Baroness is seen using an Earthquaker Devices “Data Corrupter” pedal on her live pedalboard in the Premier guitar 2019 Baroness “rig rundown”. “Its completely insane...using it in part of interludes and stuff like that because we have so many interludes on the album. Seb starting doing this thing called “drums of DOOM where he is just hitting the drums with mallets and I use it for those sounds there for that part of the show.” Both John and Gina are known for constantly mixing up there live show and defining and re-defining there pedalboards and guitar sounds. Currently September 2019 on tour EQD Data Corrupter as well as Disaster Transport SR.are on Gina’s live board. The gig rig G 2 here and John both use seems to be a big part of controlling and navigating through there arsenal of sounds.
