Description

G2 is, quite simply, the most advanced effects pedal board switching system in the world. G2 starts where the industry standard Pro/MIDI 14 left off, and is born completely of an obsession for squeezing every last drop of tone out of your pedal board without tying your feet, or your brain up in knots. G2 is beautiful, compact, unbelievably simple to use and has the cleanest most transparent audio possible.

G2 takes true bypass switching to an entirely new level using technology never seen before on a pedal board switcher. The most important difference is our 'Passive True Bypass Matrix'. This technology guarantees the most direct signal path possible with no loading of your guitar signal. Its truly amazing.Almost 10 years ago we released the world's first programmable true bypass pedalboard switcher, the Pro14. Every ounce of knowledge that we have gained during that time working with some of the best musicians in the world is now manifest in G2.G2 is an obsession realised, and we know you're going to love it.

GigRig’s G2 Advanced Switching System Review - Premier Guitar

premierguitar.com

The GigRig G2 is a powerhouse switcher/looper that's both intuitive and feature-rich. It excels in simplicity, allowing quick programming without needing a manual, and retains settings after powering down. Offering vast programming options with 10 independent loops, it's perfect for complex setups. MIDI compatibility and soft-touch buttons enhance usability, although the latter may not suit those craving tactile feedback. At $1,199, it's an investment, but its road-ready build and unique features make it worthwhile for serious players. Despite the high price, the innovative design and ease of use make it a top choice for professional musicians.

Taken from this interview which also discusses the studio pedalboard used by Dan:

Everything goes through that, except for the wah. It’s essentially a patchbay for my pedals and it’s easy for me to understand and work around. It’s made working in the studio with guitar pedals a lot of fun. The best tools just get out of the way and let you do your thing.
