Description
Introducing the Fender American Ultra Jazzmaster. This contemporary interpretation of a timeless classic ingeniously merges traditional design with modern enhancements to create an inspiring playing experience. The American Ultra Jazzmaster is equipped with Fender's Ultra Noiseless pickups, delivering the iconic Jazzmaster tone without the vintage hum and buzz. This guitar redefines comfort and playability with its "Modern D" neck profile and rolled edges, while the 10"-14" compound radius fretboard ensures a fast, fluid feel.
The American Ultra Jazzmaster's tone is defined by its Ultra Noiseless pickups, preserving the characteristic Jazzmaster sound in a noise-free format. These pickups are articulate and dynamic, letting the inherent resonance of the American Ultra Jazzmaster shine through without interference from hum or buzz. Adding to its versatility, the S1 switch provides multiple pickup combinations, allowing you to switch between series or parallel modes, thus offering a variety of tonal options. The 10"-14" compound radius fretboard provides the best of both worlds: the gradual curve from nut to bridge ensures clarity of chords and leads, while the rounder 10" radius near the nut enhances comfort for open chord work. Further up the neck, the 14" radius facilitates precise soloing and bends.

Lucia de la Garza can be seen using a Fender American Ultra Jazzmaster during the NPR Tiny Desk (Home) Concert video on YouTube. The American Ultra Jazzmaster is identifiable by the following details: 1) it has 3 "Telecaster" style metal knobs, the knob closest to the pickup has a S1 switch in the center of the knob. Other Jazzmasters have 2 plastic knobs. 2) the output jack has been relocated to the bottom edge of the body. On the other Jazzmasters the output jack is on the pickguard just below the knobs. 3) It has shiny gold raised Fender logo on the Headstock. Other Jazzmasters the logo is just printed on. 4) The noiseless pickups labeling can be seen at the 6:03 mark of the video. Lucia received the Jazzmaster directly from Fender as the Linda Lindas show in their Instagram post from 2022: https://www.instagram.com/p/CbGPd9jvHzD/
The attached video shows Kevin Garrett playing a live performance of his song "Factor In" accompanying his own voice with a Fender Jazzmaster. Considering the 3 knobs at the bottom, the color of the guitar's body, pickups, and pickguard, and other features, I've come to the conclusion that this is Fender's Ultra Jazzmaster.
