Ibanez UKS 10 Soprano Ukulele - REVIEW

gotaukulele.com

The Ibanez UKS10 Soprano Ukulele offers a resonant, thin build with commendable volume and a generous number of frets for its price. However, it falters with low-quality strings and sharp fret edges, demanding immediate upgrades to reach its potential. The instrument feels overpriced against competitors like the Baton Rouge V1 or Kala KA-15S, which offer better strings out of the box. While not the worst in its category, its value proposition is undermined by poor QC and additional setup costs. Consider this if you're committed to Ibanez, but alternatives might offer better initial satisfaction.

Fun to Play

Bright sound, stays in tune for literally years, plays pretty good, strings are nice for what they are, can't comment on restringing it as I've never had to do that. But yeah, not bad. Not bad at all. For $50, you could do a whole lot worse.

friends don't let friends play ukulele.... or banjo

I like to be a well rounded musician. Originally got it because my kid wanted to learn to play "lukulele," back when they were but wee. Nothing ever came of it, just like nothing ever comes of me playing this one.
