Critic Reviews

30 days with FLStudio 20 - Part 10: Effects Review

The Image Line Fruity Balance Volume/Panning Plugin is described as a straightforward tool for pan and volume adjustments. While it might seem redundant on its own, it finds its strength in gain staging between plugins or sends, which is a practical application. It's also noted for its suitability in modulation tasks. However, its simplistic nature might not appeal to those seeking more advanced features, and it doesn't stand out as a must-have effect on its own. Overall, this plugin is seen as functional but not particularly exciting, offering utility rather than innovation.

if you need to add an extra trim and pan pot to a channel

this adds an extra trim and pan pot to a channel, 5 stars for functioning adequately in a basic role... most useful for slapping after a mono effect like a guitar amp plugin into a stereo delay with saturation where panning and trim might be something you want to be able to automate between the mono source and stereo insert delay instead of creating another send bus or something for the delay

My go-to plugin for sidechaining synths

When I'm sidechaining my hi-hats, I usually go to the Fruity Limiter. But when I'm sidechaining basses or pads, I use this. It's rather simple, but very effective. (It's also very good for cutting out naughty words in your vocals ;3)
