Replacing 5-year-old ASUS ROG

Had an ASUS ROG laptop for about 5 years that served me quite well, though noticed some performance issues when using on stage and when rendering video. My wife needed a laptop, so I gave it to her and upgraded myself to this. Came with 16GB of RAM, but swapped it out for 32GB when it arrived. Has a 256GB solid state and 2TB hybrid drive. Most of the connectivity (USB, HDMI, etc.) is on the back of the unit instead of the sides, which I am MAJORLY thankful for. Still tweaking it, but so far it's sailing along with blazing speed. Will probably eventually upgrade the solid state.

good laptop, terrible battery

nothing about this laptop lacks in performance. this laptop can keep up with almost any project u can make and ive only got it to spike cpu if i have 125 tracks with full mix slots in FL.

my only two complaints are that it sounds like a jet engine when it gets warm and the touchpad is made for left hand users it seems like. i have to bust out the mouse and keyboard if i want to use it comfortably
