Useful on recording, but not for playing live
Looks like guitar and named after, but for me, as guitarist, it is more like keys. I never use "strings" - it's almost impossible to play YRG like guitar. Tapping only. Anyway, YRG is very useful as something between keys and guitar, for example, to quickly make some pads doubling the part of rhythm-guitar or play some solo, even percussion.
I'd prefer YRG to be more like standart midi-controller - a box of plastic standing firm on a table, like keys of lapsteel without string, but for it's price YRG good enought even like this.

Affordable midi controller that you can play as if it were a guitar!
I discovered this thing after spotting the prototype on Kickstarter. If you need a midi controller but can't really play the keys or can't be bothered learning but are able to play guitar, this is your answer. I actually rather the 'tap' function , which allows me to play more complex chords and a cool lead lines. Highly recommend!
