Mark Damon
Mark Damon's Gear
Mark uses custom made basses from Dallas, TX guitar/bass builder Rob Bridges (Brimstone Guitars). The first one, Gran Toro (prototype version), is a black, bound body 4-string, jazz bass shaped neck, maple fretboard. Bass is outfitted with the DiMarzio Will Power Pbass pickup in the front and a Klein Pickups MusicMan pickup at the bridge. Hipshot tuners with a D-Tuner.
Mark Damon incorporates the Avalon U5 Preamplifier into his live rig, utilizing it to send both the preamp signal and the mic'd cab signal to the front of house. This setup complements his Fender American Standard Dimension Bass, as highlighted in his Instagram post.
Mark uses Herco Flex 75 picks.
Mark installed the DiMarzio Split-P bass pickup in his 50's Precision bass as part of an upgrade in 2015

Modding the current pedalboard. Only really using the DOD Meatbox, Tech 21 SansAmp (for slight amp overdrive) and the Boss Tuner these days. May be time to add a true distortion pedal or something else interesting...suggestions?
Mark also uses GHS Roundcore Bass Boomers on some of his basses. He was one of the artists who test played the prototypes (along with such luminaries as Lee Sklar)
Mark uses DiMarzio Luxury Leather ClipLock straps on most of his basses.

Mark used a Fender Classic 50's Precision bass that he refinished himself. It is natural wood, with a maple neck, DiMarzio Split-P pickup (added 2015) and Hipshot Bridge (added 2015). He used it during the Light Me Up era tour (2010-2012) and on the Vans Warped Tour in 2010. He had it altered in February of 2013 (at Ralph's House of Tone in Dover, NH in ) to be strung BEAD and is now only used rarely on low-tuned songs.
