Translated part of the interview:

-So well, talking about bass sounds, in this new album I believe it was heavier and steadier, getting better than before. What is your take on this?

Usually I use an ORANGE amp(4-STROKE-300) at services, in this recording I was able to use it. Concerning the bass sounds, it was a big thing that I was able to use the same amplifier that I use at services.

-I see. So you were using equipment you were familiar with.

Also on the sound making, I discussed and decided it with the sound engineer. Something like "I want to add a bit more at this point." The bass guitar I used mainly was the BLACK CLOUD model. This was the first time I had a custom guitar made just for me.

-How did you order it?

I asked for a pitch black bass guitar. And they completed what can only be called a pitch black bass guitar model. Also, according to the song I use my earlier G&L.

-How about your tuning? Is the lowest tone B or C, example in [Carry on Living] there is definitely a C#.

Yes. In [Carry on Living] I use up to B.

-When the root tone is C# or D flat, isn't it hard to use the open strings.

Yes. But in the end I recorded all the songs with a 5 string bass guitar with regular tuning. This was the first time I recorded all the songs with regular tuning.

-In any case, in the new BAND-MAID songs a 5 string bass guitar is necessary. As to your roots, you were alternative music and not something that would use a 5 string bass guitar.

Of course. The bass guitarists I love are all 4 string musicians.(laughs)
