Ben Phillips' Gear
Ben Phillips, while primarily using Wizard amps during live performances for their unmatched clarity, volume, and tone, also incorporates the Orange Rockerverb MKII 100-Watt Tube Guitar Amp Head in his studio work. This versatility allows him to explore different soundscapes beyond his usual live setup.
Two custom 100-watt Wizard Amps supply the heart of Ben's roaring tube tone. Atop the amps is a Furman power conditioner, a Furman Uninterruptible Power Supply (battery backup) and a Two Notes Torpedo Digital Loadbox.

Ben Phillips uses the Marshall JCM800 2203 guitar amplifier head in the studio, alongside his primary choice of Wizard amps for live performances. Known for their clarity, volume, and tone, the Wizard amps, custom-built in Canada by Rick St. Pierre, challenge musicians to elevate their playing. This insight is shared on We Heart It.

Ben: I have a plethora of pedals at my disposal but I rarely use them. It’s mostly just a channel switcher and a standard Dunlop Crybaby wah.
Phillips, a longtime Gibson enthusiast, sat down with me before a recent Pretty Reckless gig to talk about the new album and why he says Gibson guitars are so “meticulously built.”
At 20:13 of this [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3Y1RmTkNl8&t=1029s&ab_channel=MarianneAudouin] video you can see a white Boss pedal on Ben's Board. I don't know for sure, but considering the placement of the pedal on the board and the simplicity of Bens rig it is highly like;y this is a TU-3
