Chris has been using this pedal since Muse's beginnigs, and he currently owns at least 3 of them. It is one of Chris's most used pedals, so many of his album and live bass sounds include the Big Muff.

Chris has been using a Wooly Mammoth since 2009. It is a strong gated fuzz that can sometimes resemble Matt Bellamy's Fuzz Factory. Chris uses this effect often, but the clearest example can be heard throughout "Guiding Light".
