Clark Vogeler's Gear

“I’ve always loved the sound that Orange amps provide. I’ve been using Orange speaker cabs for over 20 years. I bought my Rocker 30 to use as a practice amp at home, but after taking it into the studio on a whim and discovering that it sounded better than every other amp in there, it became my stage amp. It’s also all over the most recent Toadies records. When I’m playing live, I need a tone that is crunchy but has definition. I also need a lot of feedback, and I need to be able to control it. My setup provides me with a nicely overdriven sound, rich in harmonics – the key to good feedback. Once in a great while, I’ll be forced to play on someone else’s amp (even much more expensive amps), and nothing even begins to sound close to the Rocker 30. Orange Amplifiers is the only sponsorship I’ve ever sought out, and I couldn’t be more proud to be working with them.”

Clark Vogeler from The Toadies uses a very, very similar setup with his JM. He built a custom Warmoth designed for just the type of sound you described. Here he is talking about it.
