In this video by Native Instruments, Diplo talks about his use of NI Komplete. He specifically mentions why he likes MASSIVE, BATTERY and KONTAKT, which are components of the Komplete software suite.

Diplo talks about using iZotope Stutter Edit on this artist page, stating, "How is Stutter Edit to use? Rad. The live triggering of effects allows a musical approach to editing that really encourages experimentation. It sounds great on everything: vocals, synth bass, guitars, drums, even entire mixes."

Diplo posted a picture on Facebook of a message he sent when someone asks what is favorite VST plugin is.

So I’ve been trying out the UAD Studer A800 Multichannel Tape Recorder Plug-In and the Ampex ATR-102 Mastering Tape Recorder Plug-In."

When asked if he has uses many of the same "go-to" plug-ins, Diplo responded, "Yes. For vocalists, I nearly always use the Pultec EQP 1-A and the 1176 Compressor. The Pultec, especially, has a great ability to boost up the shine or fresh quality of a vocal, and the 1176 keeps it in place."

Diplo talks about how he used the Teletronix LA-3A plugin on his album "Free The Universe": "On the track, 'Get Free' for instance, the hard sounding kick/snare sound was ran through the Teletronix LA-3A compressor plug-in once or twice, in between being processed with other layers."

Diplo on using Universal Audio's FATSO plugin: "The FATSO is used quite often on the record for drums and vocals, as well as instrument sounds. It was often used on busses, such as the drums and bass in the song 'Playground', but that’s more of a traditional use. It would just as often get used for creative purposes during resampling."

The Universal Audio 1176 Compressor is one of Diplo's go-to plugins for vocalists.

This tweet by Diplo indicates he uses Serato DJ software to perform his live sets. He says, "Jus cheked my serato playlist..."
