Gustavo Cerati's Gear
This guitar was built for Gustavo by his friend, luthier Rudy Pensa (at that moment in asociation with John Surh) in 1987-88. It became his main guitar after his famous Blue Jackson Soloist was retired. You can see him playing it in that picture with Carlos Alomar.
As can be seen in the touring rig of 2009 source, Gustavo Cerati used the Blackstone Overdrive.

Cerati uso este amplificador desde 1984 hasta 1985 (hasta que fue robados los equipos de la banda), se le puede ver a Cerati usandolo en el badia & cia, es seguro que Cerati usó el modelo Music Man 212 HD 130w, no confundan con el modelo 210 HD, ya que el 210 HD es más pequeño y en el primer canal solo tiene 3 controladores (volumen, trable, bajo); en cambio, el 212 HD es un poco más grande y en el primer canal tiene los 4 controladores (volumen, trable, medio, bajo).

In a 2006 concert in Spain, Gustavo Cerati is photographed with a Gibson SG Les Paul Custom Historic '61 Re-Issue TV Yellow Electric Guitar. The image, sourced from Flickr, captures Cerati using the guitar, which features a white pickguard, although it appears black in the photo.

Gustavo Cerati's Godin Radiator Cool Sound guitar was featured in the 2007 "CQC" television program segment, "adidas en Cadena de Favores," as shown in the YouTube video by adidasArgentina. Although it wasn't used in any concerts, this appearance highlights its connection to Cerati.

"En el tour MVV uso dos PRS, la custom multifoil de siempre (en foto) y otra PRS custom , que es la que se llevaba todos los golpes. Para el ultimo show de la gira, si rompio una tercer PRS que tenia su destino marcado. Y la Parker es modelo Fly."
Gustavo Cerati used the Fender Stratocaster WS White from 1984 to 1985. In 1985, he repainted the guitar gray, keeping the pickguard black. This guitar was pivotal in Soda Stereo's early career, featured during their first group presentation and their debut theater show at Astros in 1985. It was also used on their first two albums, "Soda Stereo" and "Nada Personal." The source photo on Flickr captures this iconic instrument.

Gustavo bought this guitar around 1994-95 and played it at the recordings for Sueño Stereo. You can see a picture of him using it, that photo comes inside Sueño Stereo's book (Both vinyl and cd)
