Description
Unleash your creativity and make your guitar sing with the ZVEX Fuzz Probe, an innovative pedal that merges the quirky charm of a theremin with the raw power of the ZVEX Fuzz Factory. The heart of this unit is an antenna, or a proximity plate, that radiates a field of RF energy. Your foot acts as the conductor, manipulating this energy field, which in turn modifies the circuitry that generates it.
The Stability (STAB) knob is your key to this unique interaction, as it allows you to dial in your preferred Fuzz Factory setting - be it a silky smooth fuzz or a wild, squealing chaos. But the real magic happens when you start toying around with the STAB knob using your foot, creating unique melodies and interference modulations that will make your guitar sound like never before.
Each ZVEX Fuzz Probe is proudly made in the U.S.A, ensuring you get a pedal that's built to last and deliver consistent performance.
Key Features:
- Combines the functionality of a theremin and a ZVEX Fuzz Factory
- Antenna (proximity plate) projects an RF energy field that can be manipulated by foot
- Stability (STAB) knob on the back of the pedal allows for unique interaction, controlling the fuzz setting
- Ability to create unique melodies and interference modulations
- Proudly made in the U.S.A.

Features and functionality
-
The pedal combines a ZVEX Fuzz Factory with a theremin-like plate, allowing the "stab" knob to adjust stability, influencing self-oscillation behavior.
Source -
The Fuzz Probe fits well on pedalboards with limited space, as it's not as large as it initially seems.
Source -
The Fuzz Probe's stab knob, when fully clockwise with other knobs counterclockwise, can produce a basic fuzz sound suitable for gigging, though primarily seen as a recording tool.

Source -
Incorporating the Fuzz Probe into live performances adds a visual and auditory element that audiences find engaging and unique.
Source -
Best results occur when the Fuzz Factory is placed first in the signal chain, as it stacks well with reverb and can create a loud, wall-of-fuzz effect when paired with other distortion pedals.

Source -
Some users prefer the Solid Gold FX If6was9 fuzz or the DOD Carcosa for more tweakable and usable fuzz sounds compared to the Fuzz Factory.

Awesome weird noises factory and amazing fuzz tones!
it's a very useful pedal for my needs! I use it as fuzz, as theremim, as both things together, or even to add some texture in a distorted solo. The great thing for me is that to use it after my tuner, and so, can tune the noise note, make its crazyness more musical. With delay, the theremim is amazing! Try it!

Crazy Fuzz with Theremin like tones
This is falls in the Crazy Fuzz catagory. Does everything a Fuzz factory can do but with a Theremin plate. That said, there are some issues. This guy doesn't play nice with others. What you place before it will effect the responsiveness of the plate. I would have preferred the knobs on the top, it's hard to dial in tones when the knobs are pointed away from you. Other than those 2 issues, this is a great experimental fuzz pedal. CRAAAAAAAZZZY!
Too much power
You can play whatever you want with it, but maybe nothing at all. You´ll love it or maybe you hate it because you can change the way it works, but it doesn´t have any kind of EQ.

Super cool pedal
We have used this mostly on synthesizers playing it with your hand to create rhythms.
