Guy J's Gear
In a video of his February 10, 2018 set at Sirico Club in Madrid, Spain, Guy J can be seen using the Novation Launch Control XL. This footage, provided by Overbook on YouTube, captures the artist integrating the MIDI controller into his live performance.
In July of 2014, Guy J performed at Studio Theatre in Cordoba, Argentina. He used the Evolution UC-33e Midi Controller.
"I used to have the HD25s but now I'm using HD26s. I know their sound very well, but must start using my Dynaudio studio monitors soon - it takes time giving up something you're so used to."
Guy J is spotted using a Allen & Heath Xone:K2 at the We Are Lost Festival 2018. See video, he uses it in combination with Traktor Pro.
"Yes! my DSI Prophet 12, so proud to have it, I’m in love," says Guy J, in this interview.
Quote from Interview: As you said in a previous interview, Ableton helps to make your sets one of a kind. How does it help you be different from other DJs/producers? Do you use it for every set? I just changed recently to Traktor. I learned a lot from playing sets with Ableton, it’s a great software but Traktor is the one i use, it sounds better and gives you more the feeling of a DJ and more flexible.
The only soft synth I use is Omnisphere - I love the soundscapes and it has some nice FX, but to be honest I'm addicted to analogue now. It's hard for me to use software, maybe it's the love of touching a synth and actually feeling the music."
In a Twitter post from January 28, 2014, Guy J shared a photo of his studio featuring the Dave Smith Instruments Tempest drum machine.
"I used to have a tiny white MIDI keyboard that a friend gave me, along with two small, grey computer speakers. Now I have five synths, the Dave Smith Prophet 12 and Poly Evolver, a Nord Lead 4, MFB Dominion 1 and the Access Virus TI."

He uses Sennheiser headphones in very photo of him playing live.
"The Virus TI was the first and most important piece of equipment I bought and I still use it in every track. It’s great for bass-lines, pads, leads – so many options and all sounding amazing!"

I started with software using a music sequencer called Impulse Tracker; then I moved to Fruity Loops and Reason and ended up on Cubase, which I still use today, running an RME UFX Soundcard and plugins from UAD.

"For outboard, I'm using two FX Eventide H9 multi-effects pedals and a Strymon TimeLine effects delay. I use the Eventide a lot – it's a little monster. I process almost everything through it because it helps me to get a wide sound in the final result."

At 1:58 you can see this interface. By the way, it was hard to find the model. I hope you find it useful :)
