Jeff is using three main guitars with the Pumpkins -a Jackson King V.

Jeff, used a variety of guitars, including Gibson SGs, Les Pauls and three Fender Jazzmasters, one of which is candy apple red.

Jeff Schroeder uses the Peavey EVH Wolfgang Electric Guitar, a model crafted to Eddie Van Halen's specifications after his 2007-8 world tour. This guitar features enhancements such as stainless steel frets, custom-wound pickups, and signature tuning machines. It comes in both "hard tail" and floating bridge versions, with a "Special" and "Custom" model also available. Further details can be found on spfc.org, which documents its use.

I had a chance to ask Jeff a few questions about the Pumpkins gig, and which Duncan pickups he was using – some in interesting applications – and why.

The guitar originally comes with P90s but Jeff had these switched out to Black Cat Guitar mini humbuckers. He also did change out the original tuners to locking tuners.

In this video, in minute 11:07, Jeff explains how he uses his Revstar as his main guitar for E Standard Tuning. He has modded it with mini humbuckers, Black Cat Vintage Repro Minis.

In EarthQuaker Devices’ YouTube video “Jeff Schroeder EQD distortion shootout,” Jeff Schroeder identifies the guitar he is using as a 1966 Yamaha SG-2. At 7:54, he describes it as,

pretty much all stock except it has been refinished, and we put a new tremolo bar in it, ’cause the bar was missing. But other than that, it’s stock.
