Joe Walsh worked with Duesenberg to build a guitar that brought out his two favorite tones: The 60ssingle coil era and the Classic rock crunch tones that he is known well for playing. Additionally, the guitar is adorned in both gold and silver hardware, a feature that Joe insisted on. This guitar also has a hidden message on the fretboard: Joes name, spelled out in morse code, due to his fascination with ham radios.

About the v1 with 1 slant and 1 flat side

eBay seller John Mameli:

Bob Heil checked it out and told me that there are only two with one slant side and one flat side, with Heil Sound logo on the flat side and with purple Celeste driver... mine and Joe Walsh. Bob said his is in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, (a later model), but still all of them are from the first batch of 50 ever made.

Musician's Friend, 2006

Joe Walsh had recorded "Rocky Mountain Way" using an 8" speaker and a funnel, a device used in Nashville by the steel guitar players. Well, it wasn't very loud so you couldn't use it live. So here we are, two ham radio operators on a Sunday afternoon out in my plant. We grabbed a 250-watt JBL, built a low-pass filter, got all the plumbing together, and voila—the Talk Box. That's how it started. After that tour, everybody's going nuts! "What's this thing he's got?" So I put together a commercial unit called the Heil Talk Box. Then Peter Frampton's girlfriend Penny called me wanting a Christmas present for Peter. So I sent a Talk Box. The rest of the story writes itself from there.

The first 50 were done in fiberglass, and Peter still carries his fiberglass one today. When you see him, somewhere in his gig box is that original Heil Talk Box. I have serial number 1 that will go in the Rock Hall with Peter and Joe's signatures.

From Sweetwater's product description page:

In 2018, Joe Walsh approached Dr. Z, asking him to re-create his favorite amp of all time: a ’57 Tweed Bandmaster. Joe revealed that he had parted with this amp in the early ’70s (gifting it to Pete Townshend) and had lived with regret ever since. Dr. Z re-created the classic 3 x 10" combo from the ground up, complete with a to-spec replica of its paper-wound Triad 1848 transformer. The design was then tweaked to Joe’s specifications, adding dual internally blended voices for tonal versatility and a beefed-up power supply for pedalboard-friendly headroom. The final result was then road-tested by Joe throughout his 2018 tour schedule before he gave it his final seal of approval.
